National Poetry Month Contest: Day 11-Clouds

Today’s theme is “Clouds.”

Unfortunately, due to being out of town, I didn’t get to post a haiku for Day 10. But if you have a haiku with the theme “Books,” feel free to enter it in today’s comments!

When I was a child, I used to look at big, puffy clouds and imagine angels sitting on them. As an adult, my imagination isn’t so vivid anymore. Yet, having lost people I loved, I still find comfort in imagining them as angels, though now, they hide behind the clouds.

The theme for tomorrow is “water.” What will you write?

To enter for a chance to win a copy of my book, Life: Haiku by Haiku, leave a comment with your original haiku (must use the Theme of the Day). Each haiku will qualify for one entry, so enter as many times as you’d like! (NOTE: Shipping address of winners must be within the United States.)

    No clouds today!
    book covers are wings
that fly me to other worlds
    pages are freedom

  3. Steve says:

    the immense dark clouds
and their fierce thunder and fire
    also bring rainbows

  4. Dreams of summer past
    Written in the azure sky
