National Poetry Month Contest: Day 17 – Rain

Today’s theme is “Rain.”

It’s raining in Dallas today. I love rain, especially since we don’t seem to get enough of it here. Still, I had a bit of a challenge coming up with a rain haiku. But, here it is:

rain, where will you go
after you visit with me
I want to go, too

The theme for tomorrow is “writing.” What will you write?

To enter for a chance to win a copy of my book, Life: Haiku by Haiku, leave a comment with your original haiku (must use the Theme of the Day). Each haiku will qualify for one entry, so enter as many times as you’d like! (NOTE: Shipping address of winners must be within the United States.)

  2. Running in the rain,
    Pounding rain, street steam rising.
    Moist earth breathes in, out
