Sometimes I struggle with the last line of my haiku, the line, which according to the definition of haiku should leave the reader with a “sense of sudden enlightenment.”
I hope this haiku has left you enlightened to the “behind the scenes” image of what it’s like to write one. As this beautiful heron was frozen in place, likely pondering its next meal, I was struggling to count syllables to finish my haiku. 🙂
